Basic Instinct 1992
Politidetektiven Nick Curran (Michael Douglas) etterforsker mordet på en tidligere rockestjerne som blir funnet drept med en ishakke, fastbundet til sengen med ett hvitt silkeskjerf. Samtidig som Nick graver i denne saken, blir han involvert i en dødelig affære med tre ulike kvinner, hver av dem med et uventet motiv for mordet. Cathrine Tramell (Sharon Stone) er en forfatter hvis fiksjonsmord har en tendens til å bli virkelige. Roxy er Cathrines motsetning, og Dr. Beth Garner er en politipsykolog som har Nick som klient. Nick er hektet på saken, men føler seg på svært gyngende grunn, og bevisene leder i alle andre retninger enn mot sannheten.
